Why this clinic
exists.

I spent years in clinics where the schedule decided the care — three patients an hour, a tech running the exercises, and a plan that looked the same for everyone who walked in with knee pain. I started The Run Mechanics to do the opposite.

Here, a runner gets the full hour with the same clinician every visit. We film them, measure what's actually happening at the ankle, knee, and hip, and build the plan off that data instead of a protocol. Most of our patients finish in 40–60% fewer visits than traditional PT — not because we rush, but because we found the real problem the first time.

I'm looking for someone who finds that approach obvious rather than idealistic. If you're curious about biomechanics, comfortable being the only person in the room with the patient, and want to build real expertise instead of volume, we should talk.

S/02 · The Role

What we're
after.

The right fit matters more than a résumé. We'd rather train the mechanics than talk someone into caring about them.

01 / Requirements

Who You Are

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy, licensed in Texas or license-eligible
  • Genuinely curious about gait, biomechanics, and why movement breaks down
  • Comfortable running a full hour of one-on-one care start to finish
  • Clear communicator — patients should leave understanding their own body
  • A runner, lifter, or athlete yourself, or at least fluent in that world
  • Someone patients trust, and a teammate who makes the clinic better to work in
02 / The Offer

What You Get

  • One patient at a time, full 60-minute visits, no productivity quotas
  • Active, motivated caseload — runners, lifters, and active adults
  • Hands-on mentorship in video gait analysis and foot/ankle care
  • Flexible scheduling and a say in how your day is built
  • Room to grow a niche and own it, not just fill a slot
  • A real path forward as the clinic grows — mentoring, program building, leadership
S/03 · Next Step

Let's talk.

No formal application needed to start. Book a 15-minute call and we'll talk about the role, the caseload, and whether it's a fit — both directions. If you'd rather send a résumé first, use the contact form and it'll come straight to me.
